“We have used Reflect BSL to translate various written transcripts to BSL videos. Each time, Elizabeth has provided a reasonably priced quote for the work quickly and then produced the BSL video in a matter of days. Elizabeth communicated well with us and provided advice on how to prepare videos for BSL translations for future projects. The quality of the BSL videos was great and they have benefited our Deaf community. I have really enjoyed working with Elizabeth at Reflect BSL and we would definitely recommend and use their service again.”

“I am a Social Worker working with individuals with sensory needs, including individuals who are British Sign Language users. I have worked with Elizabeth and Chris on many occasions in a professional capacity over the last two years. Elizabeth and Chris have provided me with their Interpreting support on visits completed with a number of Deaf individuals that I am working with.
I have completed many visits with Elizabeth and Chris, where we have visited vulnerable adults. Elizabeth and Chris always present in a professional manner. It is clear to see that Elizabeth and Chris take their role as a Relay Interpreter seriously and will ensure that the individual is provided with honest and correct information at all times. Elizabeth and Chris ensure that they are discreet with individuals’ personal information to ensure that their confidentiality is upheld at all times.
Elizabeth and Chris are both friendly and approachable individuals, which enables vulnerable adults that I work with to feel comfortable and at ease to communicate and discuss often difficult experiences in their lives.
It is a pleasure to work with Reflect BSL and I would highly recommend their communication support to other professionals.“

"I've studied BSL for 3 years now with Reflect, firstly taking the Signature Level One and Level Two qualifications taught by Karen, and this year undertaking Level Three with Elizabeth. Both teachers have been fantastically supportive, excellent communicators, and developed the content of the courses to the different learning styles of everyone in the class. This year the course has been interrupted by Coronavirus, but teaching and learning have quickly been adapted to the new situation, so we can continue with the qualification. I'd highly recommend learning BSL wherever you are - it is fun and interesting, is very different from English and of course, means you can communicate in a new way using BSL. If you are based in Yorkshire, then I'd highly recommend learning with Elizabeth or Karen - they want all their students to succeed and work really hard to make that happen."

"I have been learning British Sign Language with Reflect for the last 3 years. During this time, I have found the teaching to be of a particularly high standard and this has been instrumental in helping me to achieve my Level 1 and 2 and am currently working towards Level 3. The teachers are friendly and helpful and offer support during and outside of teaching hours. I highly recommend Reflect as a perfect way to learn British Sign Language!"

"I am really pleased that I chose to study level 2 with Reflect BSL. My tutor Karen has been a brilliant teacher - both her and Elizabeth are committed to providing an excellent course and have responded very proactively to the unusual circumstances of covid 19. They had to work extra hard to ensure we were able to complete our course and they have done so successfully. I would highly recommend people choose to study with Reflect BSL."

“I would like to thank you for the time and sensitive support that you gave for our analysis of classroom interaction. The way in which you shared your perspective and insights provided us with alternative ways of 'seeing' the classroom dynamics and the different communication strategies of deaf learners."

"Reflect BSL delivered some Deaf Awareness Training to West Yorkshire Police officers and staff. The interactive training was very well-received. Amongst the comments received were:
The whole input was amazing I was so impressed with how this was delivered and the information given, all of which was new to me, really interesting and informative I have been able to tell my colleagues about this too and they also said they had never had an input on Deaf awareness before.
I found the exercise in lip reading useful, as it was so hard even when directly looking at the person’s mouth at close quarters! It makes you appreciate how difficult it must be for a Deaf or hard of hearing person to learn how to do this so proficiently.
It was a really excellent input though and I can honestly say that in my 33 years with WYP, it is probably the most interesting awareness training I have ever experienced."
